Moments in the field - dreams molding future realities.

Really... BE The Dream. What the heck do I mean by that? Well, in the daily perturbations of consciousness that we all experience, there are a few key factors in our capacity to create on the fly. Sometimes we forget just how available creation is and how willing it is to respond to our intention. Awareness and desire are probably two of the most important. Allow me to share an example that happened over the weekend.

My partner's daughter and her housemates decided to have a themed party [prom] and invited us. We were one of three elder couples amongst nearly a hundred 20-somethings, most of which did dress accordingly. After hours of small talk, which I don't have much time for, I took a moment to recognize that I was not having any conversations that I preferred. Those are of a conscious or spiritual nature as I love to turn serendipitous moments of synchronicity into dissertations and investigations of how conscious the witnesses are. I affirmed internally that I would like to have one of those conversations.

A few moments later I was leaning on a post on the back porch watching the various circles of conversation. Right in front of me, on his way to the back door of the house, a young man dropped a beer bottle on the cement. As I saw it drop I could tell that he and I both had unexpressed desires of it not breaking or spilling. It landed upright, he kicked it accidently...still upright. He leaned down, picked it up and immediately looked around and asked, 'Did anybody see that?' The entire thing happened in one flowing motion. He caught my eye and I acknowledged seeing the whole thing, which made him ecstatic.

He moved on and as he did I could feel her gaze of a young girl who had also been watching as well. I could tell immediately that she and her 'date' were of a different ilk than most of the kids there. As you might imagine, we launched into a deep and meaningful conversation about connection to flow, the event we just witnessed and the capacity we all have for creating moments on the fly. We discussed the growing awareness among humanity of the link we have with each other and the age to awareness ratio. The advantage these young ones have is they have support. When I was going through my awakening, there were few resources let alone mentors.

What was really cool about the whole thing for me was the acknowledgement of where I was at, what I desired to have happen, the intent of it happening soon and the actualization just a few moments later. This happens all the time when we are able to remain free of the mental perturbations that take us out of the moment through whatever distractions we also create. There are countless situations that we all encounter daily where we can pause, breathe and and intentionally create moments of serendipity. Serendipity simply means good luck in making unexpected and fortunate discoveries. This is critical in Being The Dream... YOURS!

Namaste,

Zen
