Healing the Earth is all the rage at the moment. Tree planting campaigns, recycling, and solar panels are the fashionable thing. It's about raising the level of consciousness; as is Reconnective Healing and The Reconnection. Reconnective Healing, founded by Dr Eric Pearl, a chiropractor from Los Angeles, doesn't involve candles, or complex rituals. No one is touched, prayed over or sent into a trance.

Ratih Luhur Australia's Reconnective Healing® Practitioner-Mentor based in Sydney, states, "You don't even have to be sick to receive healing. It's about living a more coherent and intelligent life which allows you to search, locate, and synchronise better with everything you need at a quantum level."

Luhur knows about healing, through her own health challenges. After working as a successful designer she suffered a spontaneous lung collapse. From design she moved to travel, but after another injury Luhur was left in constant pain, with pins and needles and numbness. It wasn't until Luhur embarked on the Reconnective Healing work and became a Practitioner Mentor that the physical injuries began to heal.

Since then Luhur hasn't looked back. She explains, "I was born in Indonesia, and my grandparents came from China, but I have Indian name. Before my Reconnection, I felt trapped in my Chinese body and responsibilities. After the Reconnection, I had the courage to be the Gypsy woman I am, travelling and sharing light with people all over the world."

As the Manager for Asia and Co-sponsor of Reconnective Healing Seminars in Sydney, Auckland, Jakarta and Singapore, she spends much of her time overseas. In between conducting healing sessions Ratih flits from radio shows to television and newspaper interviews, like Readers Digest, Good House Keeping, and SBS radio. She recently launched the Indonesian translation of Dr Pearl's book, The Reconnection.

Healing the Earth is about simplifying life. So is The Reconnection. Once you reconnect with the universe, all your choices become simple. It's like jumping into a river with an irresistible flow. The current is so strong, you just have to let go, and trust it.
