Essayist and poet, possessed of a decided facination with all aspects of subtle energies and energy systems. I'm excited for all of us that share this interest, and hope and believe that our intentions can make profound and positive changes in many lives. I dare to hope that this work will prove to be the foundation for global shifts in consciousness.
I am very interested in all "energy work" from Kundalini yoga to healing modalities (Reiki, Acupuncture, contemporary energy healing). I would like to see how far this interaction of personal and transpersonal energy reaches on a practical level, and how much we can push the limits of our own personal and spiritual development, and how much positive change we can create in the lives of others.
Melanie, the book should be available at all online retailers including Amazon and B&N. I've been listening to some Deva lately. Made me think of you. ;-)
Dear Melanie: I wonder what it is I've written, would you mind sending me a way back into the specific link? And yes let's talk about writing!
Thank-you for your response!

Hi Melanie,
Good to hear from you. I do have info in the book about frequencies creating the geometric structures. And the book is now out and will be featured in a Publishers Weekly article this Monday, Sept. 22nd. All sorts of things are happening with it and you can see it all at www.SageAge.net.
Also, thanks for the music link. I'll definitely check into that.
HI Melanie,
I found the info you asked about. The composer is a lady from Greek and her name is Eleni Karaindron. The music is a them song from a movie called Eternity and a day. If you google you will find both information. The movie sounds like a sad story. I am still practicing how to digeset sad stories, so I don't think it is my kind of story.
hope all is well. I enjoy connecting with you.
Shanti
Hi Melanie,
I was not sure which composers name you aske me about, but while I was at your question; I felt offering you this video from Jai Uttal whom I love deeply. Hope you will enjoy it.

Hi Melanie. I heard a Deva Premal song today and thought of you. Hope all is well. I've been dancing as fast as I can with all the book stuff and side offers coming in because of it. So, sorry I've been out of touch. Would enjoy hearing what you've been up to lately. There have been so many vibes of change around lately. I've been seeing many folks having their lives turned a little crazy lately. Most for the good. Hope you are flowing through with the changes okay too. Hang in there, all the light-worker folks are in for quite a ride right now.

Hi Melanie. So happy to hear that you enjoy Tina's music. Yes, I have heard Deva Premal and had the same reaction as the folks in your yoga class. Both of those artists just make me stop what I'm doing and listen fully. That's terrific that it has such a soothing affect on your animals, especially those in recovery. I'll be sure to check into those she has done with Miten. I haven't heard them yet either.
By the way, I've started posting articles that are basically excerpts from some of the mind-candy topics in the book. You can read and leave comments on the book's blog at http://sageage.blogspot.com/ and you can find PDF downloads of them on the site at www.sageage.net/articles.asp There will be at least 12 of them, so more to come. Eight are already written and two have been posted.
Hi Melanie. Glad you enjoyed the IONS link and that it inspired you so much. I also came up short when looking for more material on nada yoga, or shabda yoga. Please let me know if you find anything about it. You might also want to check out Tina Malia. She does some of the same sort of singing, but it is couched in the format of current New Age music. I have two of her CDs and just love them. After finding Suzanne Sterling, I now understand why Tina's music has such an affect on me.
Thanks for the info on Dr. Gaynor. I will definitely check into his work with sound. I just finished creating a class on sound that blends some of the models used in acoustics (physics) and directly connects them to intuitive practice. One of my buddies is creating the experiential part of the class and we hope to be delivering it by this fall. I'll keep you posted.
Thanks for your interest in my book. It will also be out this fall. The whole book team has been working very hard for the last couple of months getting all of the PR ready. It will start coming out in June, so be sure to sign up for the newsletter to get the latest, if you haven't already. Also, there will be articles coming out on the blog about some of the topics covered in the book. Should be very interesting for the left-brainers and open up some dialogue about blending science with intuitive wisdom. By the way, the galley copies will be out this summer. I'll check with the publisher and see if I can get you an advance copy, signed of course.
And, oh yes, I definitely have music in my dreams. I'm a published composer and have been playing music since I could sit up on my own. My dad's whole family were professional musicians, so I got it honest. ;-) I was formally trained in music and acoustics and that information has been invaluable to my latest endeavors.
You also asked if I have interest or experience with resonant entrainment. Are you referring to the brainwave devices? I think the theories behind those devices are very interesting but I haven't had time to check their data. Of course I understand the affect of how two sound waves interact to cause beat frequencies in the air, but how the brain interprets and analyzes that particular sound phenomenon and how it interprets those same waves not interacting in the air space (via headphones) is entirely different. So, I will have to have a look at their brain research before commenting further on it.
I also take into consideration that many folks misunderstand the difference in wavelength and frequency. Sound waves are real, physical things. Frequency is an arbitrary standard of measure. That's one of the topics that's in my sound class and will also be posted on the blog.
Thank you so much for sharing your experiences, research and enthusiasm. It's wonderful having a virtual buddy to share this discovery journey.
Hi Melanie
Thank you so much for the exercise. I am gratefull you are willing to go through all this trouble to send it to me.
I knew a little part of it. From the root chakra visualising a root going through the earth etc, but I didn't know it starting from the ''eye'-chakra.I'll try tis one tonight. I'm sure this is a good one.
So I see you are interested in kundaliniyoga. I had my kundalini-óutburst (sorry ,don't know the english word for it) one year ago, just spontaneously. I have been working with energies for years, yoga, reiki, healing. But I never knew much about kundalini.I am very gratefull for this beautifull experience that thas changed my life forever. It feels to me like new links have been made in my nervesystem. It is awesome, but also something that has set my life upside down completely. I just can;t find a person who can help me with this experience, because so few people have experience with it.Grounding is my major 'task 'right now. I have found a network on the internet on kundalini which gives a lot of information though.
I have experienced that this kundalini energie can bring so much spiritual development as far as there are no limits,no boundaries, no ego''s, just one universal spirit, energie, one loving awareness we are all part off. It is the integration of this experience into daily life wich is not easy, because it changes everything and familie, children etc didn't ask for this change .It is necessary to integrate it and still remain with two feet on the ground. So I would never recommend people to play with kundalini without having someone who can help you during this process,Someone who has experience with it. I feel verry 'humble' having had this energie awakening me. I also feel it as a task to do something positive with it. But like I said ,it takes a lot of time ,effort to learn how to use it for my own and universal benefit.
Thanks again for the exercise.
Namaste,
Patricia
