Living The Field

Michael G.

Please participate in this precognition experiment.

Please participate in and spread around the word (to those seriously interested only) regarding a precognition experiment QP has developed. Don't worry whether or not you might do well. We are simply interested in obtaining thousands of trials, so please, do as many as you can. You may participate from any computer, using any of the major web browsers. All you need is the following link:

http://www.quantumparanormal.com/ExperimentTrialPG1001.aspx?fid=PG1...

All you have to do is click on whatever image you "feel" will appear in the future, from a randomly selected one. Simple!

Please spread this link around to those whom you feel will seriously be interested in this experiment. We need as many trials as possible.

STATUS as of 10/1/09 9AM PST: So far, out of 397 trials, 112 have been guessed correctly. While this only represents 28% correct "guesses" (25% is expected by chance), it's associated with odds against chance of 65 to 1--statistically significant (binomial p = 0.02).

Thanks,

Mike

Hi Mike

I love this simple approach to demonstrating perception of non local information. It's great that people can contribute in just a few moments - that should encourage more particpation. I did a few dozen (which takes just a minute or so) and have left the page open to return to between other online tasks.

Can you tell us any more about QP?

What will be done with the results?

There's quite some debate within the remote viewing tribe as to how publicise positive findings in our field. In fact it's often far more perplexing than producing the actual evidence. For example I know several viewers who have been repeteadly submitting scientifically grounded information to Wikipedia only to encounter a skeptical arbitrary communication block resembling the 'ideas division' of the 'thought police'. The following link from 2007 clearly shows the insidious and wide ranging extent of this corruption...

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/media/bbc-staff-rewrote-wikipedia...

...and this is my current worst 'future possible' on the matter...

'Now - It's DB Day for Remote Viewers. Next - Wikipedia publicise more misinformation on RV from Derren Brown. Curse his spinning spoofs! 4:43 AM Sep 25th from web' (http://twitter.com/InSightRV)

If you have any top tips for us viewers as to how to overcome the narrow minded discrimination we face, please let me know.

All the best with your experiment, particularly communicating your findings.

With best intent
Loraine

Hello,

QP is small organization of individuals who conduct serious scientific research regarding anomalous phenomena, primarily psi. The results will be tallied, analyzed, and published once we've approached several thousand trials. Currently, we are at over 600 trials, so we have a ways to go.

Do not worry about psi discrimination. That's inevitable. People's convictions and preconceptions will pollute their worldview and often react to those who threaten them, creating cognitive dissonance. This should not let the remote viewing community feel angst, however.

Thanks,

Mike

Hi MIke

Where are you planning to publish your results? Will you report them here? (People are more likely to participate in experiments if they know they will get to know the results)

I plan on publishing the results in a journal, but we are not yet sure which one. I will report them here, additionally.
