A number of scholars have pointed out that a large number of the spiritual message within the bible have been changed or admitted in order to create a social model for controlling the masses. (No pun intended there) They point out that several books where abstracted from the bible that mentioned anything to do with the greater I or over-self, the ‘Gospel of Thomas’ being one of them. http://www.gnosis.org/naghamm/nhl_thomas.htm

Could science have also been used to create a social model for controlling the masses?

Maybe there are some hidden clues or muses that have been put right under our noses? Or are these just there through coincidence and chance?

Its odd how the Newtonian story speaks of an apple and the tree of knowledge also speaks of an apple? One speaks of the ‘fall’ of humanity and the other speaks of ‘fall’ of the apple. One speaks of knowledge and the other the head.

In the former Adam picks the apple and eats of the tree of knowledge that in turn leads us all on a journey ‘away’ from the garden Eden. (Maybe ‘Eden’ could be comparable to being aware of our entanglement with our over-self?)

In the latter, Newton sits under a tree and the apple ‘falls’ of his head! The outcome, of this scenario, being same as the former, except the replacement over-self this time is twice removed being that the over-self has become the personification of a machine? The machine being the replacement over-self is then takes on ‘god like’ qualities becoming a point of worship and/or replacement god?

Maybe the projection of the over-self onto the machine, has lead many to believe that machine is the second coming? When the REAL second coming is the understanding of entanglement? Its interesting to note if you take the ‘two’ layers away you are left with the REAL over self? Maybe ‘second’ is just an unconscious awareness of the two layers we need to remove in order to find our creative centre?

hi steve, love the title, wish i'd thought of it!
very interesting observations. this is one of the reasons i find sacred geometry so fascinating, in our material world of duality, there are secret 'codes' underlying the very fabric based on other sequences, the holy trinity, mind body spirit; the magic of the 3,6, &9 times tables. then the fibanacy cycles creating the structure & fractals. i'm sure that the ancients had this knowledge, & the bible was certainly iterfered with by the nicean coucil for as you say social control. i understand tht they removed all reference to astrology also. the way i understand it is that they certainly didn't want the masses to be self reliant & respons-able with a direct access to divinity.
i am interested to know your conclusions from reading the gospel of thomas (the twin), it certainly seemed one of the mosy awesome in the nag hamadi.
i watched a programme the other night about finding the dead sea scrolls, & they were saying that the essenes were a male only sect,which is totally contrary to what i've been told, so it seems to go on, information, disinformation, i think our only true resource is our inner -tuition!

Hi Jo, thanks for the complements. Yes the ego leads us to towards a world of duality, thankfully though we have two iI’s? So where e-go I-go! :o)

Opening both iI’s is paramount if we wish to become our own guide and find the core of our creative centre.

It’s interesting to note that even the physical perceptive model would say the same, regarding using one eye! With one eye shut we would loose our spatial relationships. With one I shut we loose our true relationship to our over-self. As above so below!

I would agree, so much of what has been formulated and separated by conversion into symbols, reflects the qualities of an awesome underlining structure that has self ordination and an infinite natural beauty, plus a mired of possibilities which are beyond words!

Perhaps beauty is in the ‘eyes’ of the beholder?

Yes I am sure those that had the knowledge gained through the seeking, would have wanted to share this information and make it available to all. After all, in realisation of the over-self, you would deny another aspect of yourself when denying others?

To share is the very essence of being!

Erich Fromm spoke about human beings and human havings. I find this a good description of both states of mind. I am sure that there is a propensity within us all to be biased either way, although I do believe the having, nature is fear based come from a world of scare-city!

Privatisation seems to have swept the world like a dis-ease consuming all its knowledge and worldly goods in an ever decreasing spiral that, would, if taken to its for gone conclusion, would lead to all of the power and all of the knowledge being in hands of an elite few! Like attracts like and the more like you get, the more like you get! Fortunately however ever much this kind of model absorbs, there is an in built mechanism to produce more, as in reality they are trying to rob it very soul and in-turn robbing themselves of their own souls. Is it not written down somewhere about giving your soul freely to only the destructive side?

Astrology is vitally important and its ultimate understanding, the understanding of the over-self in relationship to the self, could very well be the Holy Grail? So the Grail would be lost if abstracted from the bible? The connections of the over-self are of far greater significance and more profound than any blood line!

I would boldly say that the book of Thomas is one of the earlier books on entanglement?

I have attached a copy of The Gospel according to Thomas and stared to put some answers underneath each paragraph. I have not spent much time on this, however looking through the eyes of entanglement most what is being said fits in very well with current theories on open systems, strange attractors a monotheistic view of the universe.

Its interesting also if you look at Jesus as a ‘sun’ of god this would make Thomas a twin ‘sun’ or binary. There is a consensus of opinion that most the suns are binary systems, at least to start off with http://www.physorg.com/news6428.html

I would make an educated guess that writer of the original Bible text had the same mammoth task of describing the qualities of the new paradigm, they call the kingdom?

Just how far have we been lead DOWN the rabbit hole? The white Rabbit was a satirical look at the Middle Class Victorian, with there need for white bread, white flower, white sugar, white linen and a great obsession with time! The Mad Hatter was also an observation on the Top Hat Makers that used Mercury and other poisons, in the process that literally made them mad!

Hi Steve,
Very interesting observations, I do think as we understand more of science it will correlate more and more with the true Bible. There is so much we just don't know or understand, I do think the people from ancient times understood more of their innate abilities than man does at this point in history. As I understand the Council of Nicaea A.D.325 was created by Constable to bring unity between the masses. At that time there was so much controversy on who God was, Deity, the Sabbath, what day etc. By the end of the council they decided to do away with alot of books, and created the Nicene Creed. I'm not sure if we have discovered all they eliminated some could have been hidden or destroyed. The books that have remained but not a part of the Bible could have been by choice, we really don't know and should read them to get an understanding of what is contained inside. As man is advancing in knowledge I believe we are going to learn more and more about who and what we really are. It may be possible as they continue to search caves and underground they may discover the complete truth that was originally in the Bible to begin with. Jo is right in going with our intuition and heart more than just what we hear. Sacred geometry sounds interesting what is it?

Hi Eagleyes, thanks for the information about the Council of Nicaea.

Social control seems to have played a big part in what was included and what was omitted in today’s bible.

The odd thing is that denying people the information to find their creative self actually makes it harder to form any cohesion within the group.

It’s through singularity that we find ultimate strength and unity! Seek the opposite is what the Tao says!

Although from a govern-meant perspective (the parent figure is with us yet again) a group that was segregated by belief would be far easier to bamboozle, manipulate and steal from!

If only beliefs where like be-leafs they would fall on the wind in autumn and get recycled into the soil, then replaced by new growth. We would then for most certain turn a new leaf?

To find someone with a list of the missing chapters from the bible would be a good thing! I have a certain affiliation to Thomas as it fits so close to the current knowledge about the field. I can relate fully to those that wrote these words as interpretation is such a key issue in the process of growth.

It’s interesting that Quantum Entanglement seems to be understood by our ancestors!

It’s a common misconception of those in an era to believe that they have the ultimate wisdom! Its only through looking back at the past that we realize that what was considered to be the ultimate and the norm, only turns out to be leaves on a tree!

Everything has its life span including an idea or a concept! Perhaps we are dealing with finite energy that can be used in infinite ways, on the proviso of the old energy being converted into the new? Here you have a discontinuous set and a continuous set as part of the same structure?

Speaking of caves and underground? Now there is a whole new subject area! To survive the last rapture, there may well have been a group of people that constructed a refuge below ground and yes, they would certainly have an understanding ‘their age’.

Their may well be a council of people in this generation that understand what the last age had to tell us, as with regards to its wisdom and knowledge? Perhaps this was the content of the bible books that went missing?

Perhaps they are building more caves or utilizing the old ones that have been found? As John ‘Denver’ sang ‘its About Time’ Hidden in Plane sight springs to mind ;o)

Your suggestion on the interpretation on Eden, Adam, and the Apple is one I've thought about myself. I've read much on this and believe that the original meaning could very well had been that Man's separation from Eden is synonomous with Man's separation from each other and therefore from God.

Wow, I just found a copy of an e-mail I sent out to some folks while I was reading the last book above, about 2 1/2 years ago. It's about a thought that came to me while reading the book and the paper copy of the e-mail was in the book. I'll quote from the email below:

"It started to occur to me that we really are living the experience of the biblical story of Adam and Eve everyday. Do we live in spirit, trusting our spiritual selves as our guide, and living from a place of love, wisdom, forgiveness, and the resulting peace? ...or do we "get fooled" by the material world of time, shape, and form around us, and like Eve being tempted by the serpent, give in and believe in limitation and scarceness, thereby separating ourselves from our real power and divinity, and projecting that outward into our earthly experience?"

I'd welcome any comments or recommendations on other books or readings from anyone.
